A world-class GranPiemonte: star-studded start list announced

The 110th GranPiemonte presented by Crédit Agricole will have a distinctly rainbow-coloured feel when it takes place on Thursday, 8 October, across the roads of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero.

The 185-kilometre route from Asti to Bra will feature Brandon McNulty and Michael Matthews, respectively first and second at the World Championships in Montreal, as well as Isaac Del Toro, who finished fifth in Canada and won last year’s 109th edition on the finish line in Acqui Terme, and Mads Pedersen, sixth at the World Championships and winner of the Green Jersey at the Tour de France.

Among the leading names on today’s announced start list are French national champion Romain Grégoire, former French national champion Dorian Godon, recent winner of the Giro del Lazio, Alberto Bettiol, who claimed victory in Verbania at this year’s Giro d’Italia, Lorenzo Mark Finn, winner of both the Giro Next Gen and the Tour de l’Avenir, and Andrea Bagioli, who triumphed in Favria in the 2023 edition of the GranPiemonte.

Other riders to watch include Jhonatan Narváez, Marc Hirschi, Matej Mohorič, Corbin Strong, Mauro Schmid, Tobias Halland Johannessen and Andreas Leknessund, as well as the Italian trio of Matteo Trentin, Damiano Caruso and Davide Ballerini.

TV Coverage

Across Europe, distribution will be handled primarily by Warner Bros. Discovery, with full coverage available on Eurosport, on the HBO Max and Discovery+ streaming platforms and, in the United Kingdom, on TNT Sports. In Italy, RAI will provide free-to-air national coverage The GranPiemonte presented by Crédit Agricole will also be broadcast live in Russia on OKKO.

International distribution also extends to North and South America. In North America, live coverage in Canada and the United States will be provided by FloSports, with digital distribution via the FloBikes channel, as well as by HBO Max. In South America, the race will be broadcast live on DirecTV and ESPN, with Sport TV providing coverage in Bolivia.

In Asia and Oceania, the race will be broadcast live in China on Zhibo TV, in Japan on JSports and in Australia on SBS. The event will also be distributed in South Africa on SuperSport and across the Caribbean on CPSL.
