Sonny Colbrelli wins 102nd GranPiemonte

The Italian rider Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain – Merida) has won the 102nd GranPiemonte NamedSport, raced over a 191km route from Racconigi to Stupinigi. The second finisher was Florian Senechal (Quick-Step Floors), while the third to arrive was Davide Ballerini (Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec).

Speaking seconds after the race finish, the winner Sonny Colbrelli said: “I couldn’t hope for a better way to finish my season, the same way I started it in Dubai. I like this weather. When I found space to launch my sprint, I thought whatever happens, let’s just give it everything. The most important thing before the sprint was to avoid slipping. I’m happy it all went well.”
